Benefits and Drawbacks of CBD Dabs: What You Need to Know

Those unfamiliar with dabbing are likely to associate it with stereotypical stoner culture or a millennial dance move. But in this context, dabbing is a method to consume CBD that’s quickly gaining popularity in the mainstream cannabis industry. Read on to learn more about this practice that’s taking the CBD industry by storm, and find out if it’s the right delivery method for you. Dabbing is the practice of inhaling small quantities of concentrated vapors, typically cannabis products like hemp or marijuana, which can come in the form of wax. There are two methods for dabbing CBD extracts. The most simple way to dab CBD oil is through a CBD dab pen, which functions a lot like a standard vape pen, but is designed to work with non-liquid substances. Simply place a small amount of CBD wax on the dab pen’s coils and it will heat up the substance to create a vapor that can be inhaled through a mouthpiece. Another more complicated way to dab CBD is with a dab rig. This is a device typically made up of a water pipe, a dome, a blowtorch, and a dab tool. Use the handheld blowtorch to heat up the bowl, then use a dab tool to place a small amount of CBD extract inside the nail, vaporizing...

Necilas mājeles cena pieaug līdz miljonam, uz sienas atklājot Benksija grafiti

Kādas šķietami pavisam parastas Bristoles mājas īpašnieci piemeklējusi necerēta veiksme – īpašuma vērtība uzkāpusi galvu reibinošos augstumos, kad atklājies, ka vienu no mājeles sienām daiļo paša slavenā Benksija grafiti krāsojums.

A Vietnamese government source tells CNN that they have been contacted by a father who fears his daughter is among the dead in the Essex truck incident. Separately, a Vietnamese government-run newspaper reports that another father has also come forward asking for help in finding his son who went to the UK in the last few days. The government source told CNN that that a man named Pham Van Thin sent an emergency letter to local authorities in Ha Tinh province, reporting that his daughter Pham Thi Tra My was missing in the UK. The father suspects, the source said, she may be one of 39 victims in the tragedy. His daughter departed for China on Oct. 3, before heading on to France and the UK, according to the source. Relatives also reported that Tra My sent text messages pleading for help. The government source tells CNN that local authorities in Vietnam have been asked to check into the man’s claims. LAKELAND, Fla. — The City of Lakeland hopes to make red lights at a few specific intersections

LAKELAND, Fla. — The City of Lakeland hopes to make red lights at a few specific intersections so smart they will help prevent crashes. City officials will seek permission from the Florida Department of Transportation to implement new technology at four specific intersections in the hope of increasing traffic safety. The city’s traffic department has been studying red-light running at the intersection of Bartow Road and North Crystal Lake Drive. They determined that 48 drivers a day were running red lights at a point so long after the light change that crossing traffic already had a green light.  There is normally about a one-second delay between a light turning red and crossing traffic getting a green light.  The city’s proposal involves new radar-equipped sensors at the intersections that would be able to tell if a driver is about to run a red light. “So what it will do is continually, every millisecond, take data of moving traffic and it will compute the speed by radar and the distance from the intersection,” said traffic operations manager Angelo Rao. Using that data, the sensor would be able to tell if a driver is going too fast to stop in time for ...

The latest addition to Ultimaker’s professional ‘S’ line, the Ultimaker S3 poses a more affordable entry

The latest addition to Ultimaker’s professional ‘S’ line, the Ultimaker S3 poses a more affordable entry point to the company’s robust on-demand manufacturing solution. Join us, as we review the specs. At the 2019 TCT Show in Birmingham, Dutch 3D printer manufacturer Ultimaker announced its latest addition to its professional ‘S’ line of fused filament fabrication 3D printers. Dubbed the S3 and priced at $4,395, the new machine presents a more affordable proposition to that of the larger S5 model, which currently retails for around $5,995. Fundamentally though, the machines are almost the same. Read on, as we review the specs and spell out what’s what, how the S3 marginally differs from the S5, and where it now sits in Ultimaker’s expanded ‘S’ lineup. The Ultimaker S3, Ultimaker claims, is the most accessible entry in its current lineup of 3D printers. Superseding the Ultimaker 3 with a number of high-level features carried across from its flagship S5 3D printer, it presents a professional desktop 3D printing experience that, based on our experiences with the S5, is ready for fast prototyping, tooling, and end-use part production. Perhaps the defining feature of recent Ultimake...

House Works: Canadian glove maker protects workers and heals warriors

These Canadian-designed gloves offer unique back-of-hand protection plus a financial contribution to Wounded Warriors Canada for each pair sold. Robert Maxwell / jpg A year ago this spring, I discovered a Canadian work glove manufacturer that I’m surprised I hadn’t found before. I use work gloves almost every day, but never thought much about glove design until I came across a B.C. company called Watson Gloves. They celebrated their 100th anniversary in 2018, and since then I’ve been impressed by the variety of gloves they offer – more than 1,000 different styles in all. I used to think work gloves were only about choosing lined or unlined leather options, because that’s all I typically found on hardware store shelves, but there’s a lot more to leading edge glove innovation than this. A Watson glove called “Commander” is a case in point. Besides the usual sort of protection against cuts and abrasion, another reason you might wear work gloves is to protect the back of your hands and fingers from bumping into things while you work. This back-of-hand protection is something that‘s often overlooked but important, and cutting firewood is a classic example for me. Besides the risk of ...

Despite the pestilent title, Lucy Kirkwood’s “Mosquitoes” is not a play about increasingly lethal insects. It

Despite the pestilent title, Lucy Kirkwood’s “Mosquitoes” is not a play about increasingly lethal insects. It is an intensely ambitious epic from London’s National Theatre, exploring everything from the perils of parenting stroppy teenagers to sibling envy, and the struggles of women in science to the existential questions posed by astrophysics. Julia Siple, a Steep ensemble member, is doing astonishing work in director Jaclynn Jutting’s production. Jenny, a character of intense emotions and crippling doubts, is a spectacular role to be handed and, for my money, the character is one of the fairest and most credible dramatic portraits of an overshadowed second child that I’ve seen (well, since Chekhov, anyway). Siple walks out on stage with the dial set at about nine on a scale of ten and you first worry about where she can possibly go. But the actress clearly has decided that she is playing a woman for whom tension is an ongoing fact of life and for whom daily existence is a series of zigs and zags, as fires burn and are extinguished, but only ever in part. It is one of the best performances of the year to date and a huge achievement for Siple. Through Nov. 9 at Steep Theatre, 1...

OCP Switches Making Inroads into Enterprise Data Center Networks

This site is operated by a business or businesses owned by Informa PLC and all copyright resides with them. Informa PLC’s registered office is 5 Howick Place, London SW1P 1WG. Registered in England and Wales. Number 8860726. Commodity, bare-metal network switches for data centers are steadily gaining market share versus legacy networking equipment, while Open Compute Project-certified data center switches are gaining share within the bare-metal category. More than half of the bare-metal switches sold to data center operators in the second quarter were OCP-certified, according to the latest numbers from analysts at IHS Markit | Technology, a DCK sister brand in the Informa Tech family. Overall, the analysts expect bare-metal switches to grow from 20 percent of the market last year to 34 percent in 2023. Wanting to write their own software to manage their networks and not wanting to pay the exorbitant margins legacy vendors like Cisco and Juniper bake into their tightly integrated software-hardware networking solutions, hyperscale cloud platforms like Google, Facebook, and Microsoft years ago pushed the market toward disaggregating network software from network hardware. Fa...
